Kindness Project: Day Three

For Wednesdays, our kindness focus will be on strangers.

Today's kindness activity is to create some beautiful art and abandon it in public.

This one was inspired by the Art Abandonment group on Facebook; if you really like this sort of activity, you can join this group here.

People don't have to be great artists to abandon art, so it's a great way to get your work out into the world. The person who finds it and chooses to take it will appreciate it deeply.

Some suggestions for easy art activities to abandon include:

  • Painting rocks (please buy them instead of taking them from public places; landscaping companies tend to sell perfect rocks for less)

  • Painting tree branches and decorating them as "magic wands"

  • Painting small canvases can make your art feel more exciting
