Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

All family members welcome, ages 0 to 100! 

Put on your ugly holiday sweaters! Time to make memories! Wear a funny, silly, ridiculous, light-up-with-a-battery-pack, sweater. Wear a silly holiday hat or jewelry. Wear a lovely sparkly winter princess dress. We don't care... just dress for a fun time!

In order to attend our donor Holiday Party, you need to be a subscriber/donor or have made a Special Donation in 2022. If you have not subscribed, you can even if the party is about to begin, so don't be shy! The more the merrier, and we'd be delighted to have your support of the organization!

This is a super fun day for AnySchoolers because we have TWO HOLIDAY EVENTS: a discounted field trip to A Charlie Brown Christmas at The Coterie Theater, AND we have this donor-only Ugly Sweater Holiday Party at a location 10 minutes from Crown Center! The party starts around 5:45-6pm. This allows a little break between the Charlie Brown Christmas group buy and the party, so families can stop and take photos by the Mayor's Christmas Tree at Crown Center, fountains, and oversized toys! 

We'll have crafts and food, and of course, memories with friends are the best part. We'll have food... but not "dinner". The party is during the dinner-hours. If you'd like to contribute/share a savory or sweet plate of food, we'd love to have your favorite filling Christmas snacks. If you want to help set up a craft table at 5:30pm or help tidy up a little at 8pm, we'd love help. You can let us know when you register!

Please BYOB! We ENCOURAGE you to bring your sparkling grape juice, cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, spiked cider and egg nog. We'll provide water bottles, hydration, kid drinks. Think through your designated driver or set up an Uber to get home! 

At the party, we'll have a special visitor from the North Pole! Ho ho ho! Shhhhhhh!!!! Santa will surprise us mid-party. Don't tell!

Location: 300 Benton Blvd, KCMO, 64124 - The Heim, built in 1891, is a historic Victorian home in the Historic Northeast part of downtown KC, just down the street from the beautiful Kansas City Museum. The original owner Joseph Heim was head of the first major beer baron family, the architects and owners of Electric Park (which was Walt Disney's inspiration for Disneyworld) in the East Bottoms with a scandelous family story, and the home is being privately offered to our group, as its steward is a homeschooling family preparing to open a bed and breakfast and event venue. 

NOTE: Join us for A Charlie Brown Christmas group trip to the Coterie Theater the same-day, afternoon BEFORE the Ugly Sweater Holiday Party! The show by Charles M. Schulz is based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson (Approx. Length: 55 Minutes) The show is from 4-5pm (seating at 3:30-3:45), then the Holiday Party begins around 5:45-6pm.
