About The Event
AnySchoolers will meet up at 10 and explore together!Â
Description from the Shawnee Town 1929 Event Website: "FREE ADMISSION this week only! Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in our nation, but it was only a first step toward real equality. Visit the 1920s town to explore the accomplishments and challenges for African–Americans during the Jim Crow Era including famous Shawnee teacher Corinthian Nutter’s fight against school segregation.  Enjoy a town square celebration at 11:30am with fresh churned ice cream, red drink, and tunes on a 100-year-old record player!"
