About The Event
On the day of the visit, we will start out in the Education Pavilion for a brief presentation and conversation about KC Pet Project, how they got where they are, what they do and why, including the day-to-day care of our animals. Then they will discuss the importance of enrichment treats to shelter animals and make some treats to help stock the freezers for the shelter animals. After we clean up, we will take a tour of the dog and cat kennel areas of the shelter to visit some of our residents. Please be aware when signing up, this is inside the shelter and is very loud.
*Each child is required to bring 4 packages of hot dogs that we will use for making the enrichment treats for the dogs.
