Circle Round Virtual Folktale Club: Socio-Emotional Learning with a Counselor

Just being together! Sit down with your lunch or right before an afternoon nap, and listen to a folk or fairy tale with us.

Parents print a coloring page, and we color together while talking with professional counselor Vanessa Knight, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC (bio here: https://www.securecounselingclinic.com/vanessa-knight-lcpc-s-ncc-ccmhc) about the socio-emotional lessons in the story, and then... show your beautiful work!

These stories are geared toward elementary-aged students, and the discussion with the counselor will be at elementary level. Siblings are always welcome. Stories will have emotional intensity range, address life cycle issues, some intense feelings, and promote regulation, psychological flexibility, and slow exposure to topics that all humans are curious or puzzled by!

Stories and original artwork coloring pages will come from WBUR podcast Circle Round. When you sign up for the class, you will receive communication about the story of each week and the link to the coloring page in advance.
