Today's act of kindness focuses on being kind to community helpers by giving nurses and other healthcare providers some fast and easy-to-eat treats. Because healthcare workers have such long shifts under difficult conditions, it can be especially meaningful for them to receive special treats that they can eat on the go.
Although these past few years have shown how essential nurses and other healthcare providers are, they continue to work in difficult circumstances where they are often understaffed and unable to take appropriate breaks. While a small basket of treats cannot overcome these systemic issues, they can let healthcare workers know that they are valuable and special.
I'd love to hear how your family is doing with the kindness project. Feel free to drop your thoughts in the comments.
