Teachers are volunteering their time and planning. Registration fee is $30 ($5 per class) for first child. Additional children are $24 ($4 per class). Each week, we will meet at the outside of the front of the zoo by the "big stones," stop by the Swans and Otters for quick potty trips and coffee fuel-ups inside the main building ("Auditorium")! Then we'll walk to a specific area of the zoo, see the animals together, and stop at a special animal to do storytime, crafts, and conversation! Older kids (5-10) will listen to a Circle Round (podcast here) folktale from that area of the world, coordinated with the special animal we are visiting. Littles will read a picture book (or two!) together from that continent/animal as well. Crafts will follow! BYO snacks/drinks, wagons, strollers, sunscreen, zoo passes.Â
