About The Event

UPDATE as of 3/2: registration closed so we can provide them with an accurate number of attendees for our group!

A unique opportunity for a first hand encounter with the world of geology, art, and craftsmanship is offered each year at the Gem & Mineral Show sponsored by the Association of Earth Science Clubs. We will have many special exhibits. Area colleges, universities, and association clubs' members will display unique specimens and collections of fossils, gems, geodes, minerals, rocks, stones, and handcrafted jewelry items.  Skilled craftsmen will be demonstrating beading, chain making, faceting, flint napping (arrowhead making), lampworking (glass bead making), lapidary (gem carving, cabochon cutting, sphere making), silversmithing, tool making, wax molding, and wire wrapping. There is a large area for shopping and there are some items available at most of the vendors priced for students to purchase.

Minimum of 10 children. No Maximum. We have to meet as a group and enter together, paying cash as one lump sum at the door.  I will collect $2 per person-- both kids and adults (4 and under free).

$2/ per person, cash only. I will collect when we meet outside the venue and we have to pay as one group.

Please note: the website still says $1/per person but the coordinator confirmed for me via email the price is going up this year to $2/per person.
